Aidan is a senior at Bishop Blanchet High School and just a few weeks from graduation!  I met Aidan and his family at the Washington Park Arboretum for his portrait session.  Aidan had an opening in his schedule, and with the amazing weather last week, we bumped up his session.  I’m so glad we did!

Aidan was so laid back and casual.  It was a breeze to photograph him from the start!

Outside of school, Aidan enjoys golfing just for fun, but what keeps him busy every spring is baseball season.  His team is heading for the playoffs, so these last few weeks of senior year are pretty full.

As a total side note, this is how guys can add some personality to their senior session!  These socks are fun!

After graduation, Aidan will head to Knox College in Illinois to study computer science and he’ll also continue to play baseball.

Aidan has a great smile, and I loved being able to capture this all out laugh and big grin!

Good luck, Aidan, with baseball playoffs and enjoy all the activities leading up to and including graduation!  Best wishes as you begin a new chapter at Knox and beyond!

Julian is a senior this year at Curtis High School in University Place, WA.  We met at the Museum of Glass in downtown Tacoma, which was a popular venue for prom photos that evening!  Shout out to Julian who took the crowds in stride!  We started off at one of my favorite locations, the old Albers Brothers Mill building.  This gorgeous industrial building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

After a quick outfit change, we walked a short distance to this amphitheater like setting that I didn’t even know existed along the Thea Foss Esplanade!  We got some hints of fall colors down here.

As the homecoming crowds thinned out, we made our way back to the Museum of Glass for some shots at the fountain.

A senior session in downtown Tacoma wouldn’t be complete without some of the skyline and historic buildings in the backdrop.

Now, for a little bit about Julian.  He plans to go to college following graduation and is interested in graphic design, marketing and fashion.  Lacrosse keeps him busy in the spring and people would describe him as enthusiastic, friendly and adventurous!

Thank you, Julian, for a great senior session!

This is Amy and she is a senior this year at Vashon Island High School.  Back in September, I met Amy and her mom at a pretty little botanical garden for her senior session.

This garden is tucked away near SeaTac and is quite a hidden gem!  We started off at the local community center across the parking lot to take advantage of the colorful blooms and backdrops there.

The entrance to the botanical gardens has the prettiest decorative gate.

Surrounded by the lush green landscape and crowned with roses, Amy casts an ethereal vibe in the Paradise Garden.

The Japanese Garden may have been one of my favorite spots to photograph Amy in this collection of different themed gardens.  Her green dress popped against the stone and water features.

We were quickly running out of daylight and finished up Amy’s session in the rose garden.  Thank you, Amy, for trusting me with your senior pictures and helping me to explore this new location!

I met Megan, her mom and dad in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle recently for Megan’s senior session.  This area was new to me, so I’m very glad that Megan’s mom suggested it!  There are so many beautiful old brick buildings and we found lots of great spots and backdrops within just a few blocks.  Megan is a senior this year at Mount Rainier High School and is a Running Start student.  She’s an avid soccer player and swims in a summer swim league.

This gorgeous archway caught everyone’s eye.  I love how it frames Megan perfectly.

We ducked into this pretty alleyway for a fun series of photos.  Megan has such a natural smile, looks comfortable in front of the camera and she was so easy to photograph!

This backdrop is such a gem, too.  Megan was wearing the perfect outfit to be surrounded by all of this color and texture.

We needed to finish up in Georgetown and head to the beach, so as we walked back to our cars, we stopped along the way to capture Megan in a variety of cool spots.  The Georgetown mural was a must! Our last stop was the Cove in Normandy Park.  Megan and her family have spent a lot of time here over the years and it was important for Megan to include this as a location in her senior pictures.  I love that Megan had certain spots she wanted to use.  This boardwalk was a great starting point.

I admit that I have a tendency to put my senior girl clients in the shrubberies whenever possible, especially when pretty blooms are involved!

Megan is just stunning! The sun was setting, so we walked to the beach to get some shots of Megan in the tall grass and amongst the driftwood.

We had time to get in one last outfit.  I would say that I love this series of pictures, but honestly, I love all of Megan’s pictures.  I’m happy that we were able to photograph her in a setting that means so much to her.  It’s quintessential PNW scenery at its best!
Megan, I hope you have a fantastic senior year and wish you all the best as you navigate your college choices!  Thank you for allowing me to capture you during this special time of life!

You know it’s going to be a great session when your senior brings his classic car!  This is Vaughn, and he’s a senior at Kentridge High School.  He’s also the proud owner of this 1969 Charger, a car his dad got when he was a teenager and has handed down to Vaughn.

While Vaughn loves working on his car with his dad, his hobbies also include motorcycles, planes and trains as well.  With this in mind, the Kent station was an awesome location idea for Vaughn’s senior pictures and many thanks to his mom for the great suggestion!

Like many seniors, Vaughn hasn’t decided on a college just yet.  He’s toured some possibilities and will apply to many.  One thing is for sure, he’d like to major in Automotive Engineering.

Another big part of Vaughn’s life is playing the bass guitar.  I’m so thrilled he brought his Fender guitar so we could get some pictures of him with it.  It’s so cool and a real beauty!

Thank you to Vaughn and his parents for a fun session!  They not only introduced me to a new location, but shared some things that are really important to Vaughn.  That’s what makes senior sessions so special.

I hope you have a fantastic senior year and find just the right college to make your dreams come true!
