Chambers Bay senior session | Luke – Bellarmine Prep

My last senior session of 2024!

This is Luke and he’s a senior at Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma. When discussing locations for Luke’s senior session, his mom was quick to come back with an answer. No doubt, Chamber’s Bay was the place! Luke has played this course as a member of the Bellarmine golf team, but more importantly, he’s played this course with his dad many times over the years.

Incorporating some golf shots was a great way to kick off the session. Luke was definitely at ease with the clubs in his hands and having his gear handy led to some real natural posing. Getting in front of the camera can be intimidating. It’s a real win and sets the senior up for success if he or she feels confident from the start.

These concrete structures left over from Chambers Bay quarry days offer a unique backdrop for a portrait session.

Luke has an easy smile, but if I can, I like to get one real good laughing smile. Cheers to Luke’s mom for making him laugh and thankfully I was fast on the shutter!

With a quick change of clothes, we walked further down towards the water for a different perspective. The meadow was definitely showing signs of fall.

The locks have been removed from the bridge to a new art display called “swoon”.  These metal reeds made casual posing super easy and added a fun architectural element to Luke’s images.

Good job, Luke! Thanks to you and your mom for making my last senior session so easy going.  Best wishes for the remainder of your senior year and all the best to come after graduation!
