I first met Evelyn years ago when I worked with her mom, Rachel, at the hospital. It’s hard to believe Evelyn is a senior this year! I met Evelyn and Rachel at Fort Steilacoom Park recently on a beautiful summer evening. At the end of August, you can already see a hint of fall in the trees.
Evelyn is in her second year of running start and taking classes at Pierce College. When she graduates from Steilacoom High School next year, she’ll have completed her associate’s degree. After graduation, Evelyn plans on pursuing nursing at the University of Washington | Tacoma and joining the Reserves.
In addition to school, Evelyn works a part-time job. She has a creative side and enjoys painting, drawing, and crocheting. Evelyn also puts her creativity to use in the kitchen baking and decorating cakes!
Evelyn likes being outdoors and has a loves animals. Apparently, she has a really old bearded dragon named Spike. I love the little insights I got from Rachel who told me that Evelyn’s relationship with God is very important to her and that while she likes a good argument, Evelyn is a thoughtful friend.
Evelyn and Rachel, thank you for allowing me to capture this special time for you. I hope you will look back on these photos and see the beautiful young lady I had the pleasure to photograph! Best wishes to you for a fun and memory filled senior year.
