Four years ago, I got a call from a sweet mom, Gladys, who needed to find a replacement photographer. Her daughter, Abbey, was graduating from Bishop Blanchet High School, and I said I’d be happy to help them out. Fast forward to last week and it was time for Abbey’s cap and gown portraits at the University of Washington!
It was such a pleasure to capture this important milestone for Abbey and her family and truly an honor that Gladys called me again.
Abbey majored in political science and global and regional studies. She recently returned to Seattle after a semester long internship with Homeland Security in Washington D.C.
Abbey is a member of UW’s Delta Zeta sorority. I love to get detail shots, so I appreciate that Abbey brought both of her stoles in addition to her cap and gown.
Aside from studies, Abbey was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta. It’s the largest pre-law fraternity in the world which helps students interested in law to learn more about the profession.
Senior portraits at UW would not be complete without a few shots inside and outside of the iconic Suzzalo Library!
This shot was Abbey’s idea and it turned out great! You would think that we had the steps to ourselves, but that was NOT the case! UW was swarming with students, families and photographers all taking advantage of the awesome weather.
After graduation, Abbey will have a few weeks to celebrate and soak in her accomplishments before embarking on her new journey which will take her to Santa Clara University in August. She’s been accepted to Santa Clara’s School of Law! Congratulations!
Thank you Abbey and Gladys for such a great session! The weather was PERFECT, and as usual, Abbey was a dream to photograph! Best wishes!
