This beautiful girl is Elizabeth, and she will be graduating next year with Bellarmine’s class of 2018. We have known Elizabeth’s family for a long time. I did her older brother’s senior portraits a couple of years ago, so I was thrilled to be asked to photograph Elizabeth, too!
Like her brother, she wanted her senior portraits taken in a place that was special to her. Steilacoom hosts a farmer’s market and concert in the park every Wednesday during the summer months, so downtown was bustling with activity. Sunnyside Beach was the perfect location to get away from the crowds and still capture a little bit of quaint Steilacoom in the background.
Elizabeth had the perfect outfit for a few barn shots. It’s starting to look and feel a little bit like fall.
We definitely wanted to capture a few tall grass shots.
Senior sessions are my favorite, and I am so proud of how these senior girls are showing up for the shoot ready to have fun and get a little creative. Elizabeth had her hair and makeup professionally done, and I have to compliment Gene Juarez and Bare Minerals. The look is so natural but enhances Elizabeth’s already pretty features, right down to her curly hair. I’m so glad she didn’t straighten her curls!
The sun was going down fast now, so that was our cue to head over to the fields with one last wardrobe change. Elizabeth has been playing lacrosse for Bellarmine since her freshman year. I like the mix of fierce and fun shots.
Thank you, Elizabeth! You nailed your session, and I had such a great time with you and your mom. Have a fantastic senior year, and I wish you every blessing on whatever path you choose to blaze beyond graduation! Until then, Go Lions!
